What makes me uniquely qualified to help you and members of your family with their emotions?
I understand emotions.
I’ve lived in the pain of them, worked through the shame of them, earned a college degree exploring them, published lessons I have learned from them and have taught thousands of people how to work through and let go and make peace with them.
For me emotions have been a source of connection, enlightenment, inspiration, transformation, learning, and of growth. I’ve also felt lost and lonely, criticized and hurt, ignored and abandoned. In the end I have found the courage to find love and belonging to myself and I am very pleased with that.
I was married for 30 years and then I wasn’t. I’ve parented children through long term medical issues, anger problems, bullying, learning disabilities, peer pressure, depression, sexual abuse, drug abuse, gender confusion and suicidal ideation.
Experience:
My journey began in a home where parental addictions created complications in the family dynamics and in my personal life. Working through my childhood trauma has given me more blessings than I can even express.
I currently work as an ongoing case manager for the Department of Child Safety.
My journey began in my early twenties, I began working with children in the Arizona foster care system. During that time, I had the sacred honor of working with victims of sexual assault.
I spent 7 years educating myself in the coaching world. I completed a one-year course in life coaching and went on to certify as a relationship coach , a family coach and a leadership coach.
I have a master’s certificate in neuro-linguistic programming (if you don’t know what that is, it’s a super fun way to reprogram your brain).
I spent 3 years at a coaching school mentoring new coaches through their coach training.
During this time, I finished my degree in psychology which gave me an extra advantage in understanding the link between human behavior and the mind.
While mentoring new coaches, I was offered the opportunity to teach personal development to at risk youth and their families.
It was in working with families that I discovered my passion for facilitating personal development courses.
This passion led me to create my own personal development training programs.
I went on to write and facilitate a program on emotional resilience that successfully assisted thousands of defendants caught in the justice court system. The course focused on implementing healthy ways to deal with trauma, significant loss, relationship challenges, uncontrollable stress, anxiety and other types of emotional struggles.
I have had the honor of teaching these concepts to individuals in the Clark County detention center with Jon Ponder, the founder and CEO of Hope For Prisoners in Las Vegas, Nevada.
I also had the blessed opportunity to serve as a missionary for a women’s only addiction recovery group. It is a remarkable program and I absolutely love the sweet sisters I had the chance to serve in this Christ centered program.
Here are some other fun facts about me:
I’m the author of three successful books and have an educational MP3.
I’ve been a keynote speaker, facilitated breakout sessions at singles conventions, workshops, seminars, panel discussions.
I have appeared on radio and streaming television and was even featured on Events and Adventures Presents The Singles Show.
And worked with some pretty amazing coaching clients.
In my spare time I enjoy time with my family, reading, writing, hiking, camping and spending quiet time on the lake.
